Noranda School is the centre of the English community of Rouyn-Noranda and therefore an important organization for the English culture. We value and prioritize our children and work to serve the community at large. Our resources are available and shared by both students and community members alike.

We promote knowledge-based education, balanced with the basics, and we work as a team towards students’ personal success. We understand that the school is an extension of the home, and recognize that active parental involvement is an integral part of the learning process.

The classrooms are positive and productive learning environments where all individuals are encouraged to interact responsibly and respectfully. We employ self-directed learning strategies which teach students to take charge of their learning, both individually and collaboratively.

We are committed to quality education for all our students, and work with them to develop to their fullest potential. As well,  we strive prepare them for the modern world, and their post secondary studies and interests.
