Money Matters
You first have to consider the time and money you are going to have to spend in further education, therefore it is a good idea to get a handle on why you are doing it. The reasons you should be going into further education are:
- For personal growth.
- To get a career/job that you would be happy doing.
- Continuing your education after high school should be one of the most exciting experiences of your life. However, it is also a confusing one in that you may be perplexed by the student funding system. You need to familiarize yourself with financial planning for full time/part time education after high school. You will also need to research the particular costs for each institution as each one will be different.

Unless you are lucky enough to win the lottery, you’ll have to come up with more than one way to pay for your education. Here are some ways that you can support your education:
- Get a job – summer, part time.
- Your parents (make sure you talk to them nicely).
- Grants, bursaries and scholarships, see link below.
- Apprenticeship and co-operative education programs.
- Student loans (but be careful these have to be paid back).
