Aim Higher

Through the GOAL program there is an initiative in place for all schools called Aim Higher. This initiative has been developed by the WQSB and the Career Education Consultant to promote and support quality work experience for the benefits of students, organizations and the economy.

The Québec Entrepreneurship Contest/Le CONCOURS Québecois en Entrepreneurship

Through this initiative young people can develop there entrepreneurial potential by designing their own small business. Students will benefit by preparing themselves to play an active role in the development of Québec society, as leaders or members of organizations of different kinds. This contest also gives the students a chance to represent their school on a regional or even provincial level, allowing them to share their pride with the community as a whole. Jeunes Entreprises

This school based initiative offers many programs in the classroom either during or after school. It is open to all age levels, and students are given the opportunity to learn about the process involved in an organization, how one operates and completion of a fiscal cycle of a business. Guided by a team of volunteers from the business community, students develop the skills knowledge and attitudes required to help them increase their entrepreneurial and leadership skills. Encounters with Canada/Rencontres du Canada

This is a one week program of Canadian Studies held at the Terry Fox Canadian Youth Centre, in Ottawa. Over 138 high school students aged from 15-17 come from across Canada to the Nation’s Capital for a once in a life time opportunity. The students gain hands on experience through participation in group discussions, simulations, audio visual presentations and role playing. Camp Je

The Camp Je program was set up in Québec by the Réseau des SADC du Québec in the summer of 2000 for teens aged 14-17. Camp Je is different form other programs because it gives you a chance to learn more about the world of business in a fun atmosphere. For one week, you will work with a team to put together your own small business – you’re, your own boss, you make the market and sell your own product. And, if your team turns a profit, you get to share it at the end of the camp! In short, you will learn all the ins and outs of being in business. Don’t miss this great opportunity.

Projet inforoute-jeunesse
