Aim Higher & Parents

The purpose of this initiative is to enable students to gain practical experience through a variety of workplace learning opportunities. Work experience is an important part of education. It is intended to give a student an experience of working life and the key skills needed in the workplace. From these experiences students are also able to:

• Increase their knowledge and understanding of the wider world beyond education.
• Be more aware of their own strengths and areas of interest.
• Explore which of their areas of interests will suit them best.
• Gain first hand knowledge about the skills and qualities needed in the workplace.

Students Will Be:

• More motivated in their studies at school as they will know what they want to do and what they have to do to get there.
• More confident in their ability to succeed in the future.
