Units covered in the program:

1. Algebra: variables, expressions, operations, equations, substitution

2. Modes of Representation: relationship, table of values, equations

3. Proportions: ratio and rates, analyzing and drawing

4. Percent: concepts and calculating

5. Circles: diameter, radius, circumference, area, arc

6. Polygons: constructions, symmetry, perimeter, area

7. Transformations & Dilatations: similarity, ratio, enlarging, reducing, scale

8. Surface Area: geometric solids, nets of solids

9. Probability: chance, outcome, events, dependent, independent

This week:  

•   Review for the exams: each student will have a NEW REVIEW WORKBOOK

•   For the next 3 weeks, students will be doing one take-home practice exam per week. Each exam will be worth 5% of term 4.

•  Situational Problem: Wednesday, June 8th

         Students without a calculator and geometry set will have difficulty with the June Exams

 June 6th - June 9th, 2011

•   Review for the exams

•   Work on the memory-aid
