Behaviour & Participation

Behaviour and participation at Chelsea Elementary School is based on three cornerstones:

  • Respect for oneself
  • Respect for one another
  • Respect for the overall school environment

When behaviour problems occur, the staff meets with the student to discuss the incident and to review behaviour expectations. Most problems can be resolved immediately among the parties concerned. For more serious cases, an incident form will be completed and referred to the Principal. Persistent and serious infractions will result in immediate parental contact. Serious infractions may result in a suspension from school. Major discipline problems will be referred to the W.Q.S.B. Discipline Committee for review and expulsion may result.
