Dear Parents,
As the end of the year approaches, it becomes a very busy time at Buckingham School.
Congratulations to Ana Crosland, Emma Laframboise, Hannah Fraser Purdy, Kaeley Legault and Viktoria Brunke!!  They will be representing Buckingham Elementary School at the W. Q.S.B. Science Fair on May 23rd at D’Arcy McGee High School (701 boul. du Plateau, Gatineau) 3:30-5:30 p.m. and 6:30-8:00 p.m.  All of the science projects were outstanding!  Good work to all the participants!

Important Dates:

***Cafeteria Manager Needed***

If you are interested in being our cafeteria cook please contact the school as soon as possible.

2012-2013 School Fees

In previous years, fees have been charged in two billings.  However, for the 2012-13 school year there will only be one billing.  There will be an increase of $5.00 to cover increasing paper fees and supervision rates.

Walk-a-thon

Our Walk-a-thon was a huge success!  Thank you for your generous contributions!  You made a difference in the lives of one of our own families.

Morning Entrance Protocol:

Supervision begins at 7:30 p.m.  Daycare students will be buzzed in between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m.  From 7:30-8:00 a.m. arrivals are to proceed to the supervised play areas (unless raining).  Access to the school will be given by the supervisors via the side doors.  Pre-Kindergarten students are to arrive after 7:30 a.m. unless registered in Kids’ Club.
Please note that repetitive ringing of the bell, aggressive behavior and inappropriate language will not be tolerated.  We do our best to answer the door in a timely manner, however, at times, there may be a delay.  Patience and respect for all staff is expected.  Thank you.

Parking and Drop Off Zone:

We would also like to remind all parents that the drop off zone (parking area for parents) is on the left hand side of the parking lot as you drive in.  Staff park on the other side.  Please do not stop, park or unload your child/ren on the right hand side of the parking lot and especially not between the handicap ramp and the senior play area.  Thank you for your understanding!

Billing:

Please be advised that children from Grades 1 through 6 should have brought home a bill for a math workbook this week.  On the bill if you had outstanding fees this was indicated.  Thank you for your prompt attention to these items.

Principal
