Safe School Policy
We believe in the right of each learner and each staff member to work in a safe environment in their school. We believe it is the responsibility of everyone, parents and students included, to contribute to the development of safe schools.
With the increasing numbers of parents, volunteers, trades people and Board personnel visiting our school, it is important to create a secure environment for our students and staff. To this end, we request that everyone respects the following procedures:
All parents, visitors, supply teachers and other professional staff must enter the school through the front door only at all times
- All parents, visitors, and volunteers must sign in at the office.
- Any individual who needs to be in the hallways must pick up an identification badge to wear while in the school. This badge is to be returned to the office when the individual signs out.
- Parents who pick up their children on a daily basis must meet their children in the front lobby.
- Please be advised that for your child’s safety an adult not wearing an ID badge will be stopped by school personnel and asked to report to the office.
- Parents who must pick up children for appointments will stop at the main office and the secretary will call the child to the office.
