Our Philosophy

Being a Tribes School, the daycare will follow the same philosophy.  Everything implemented in the daycare is based on:  love and kindness, honesty and respect, sharing and caring and strengths and beliefs.  We strive to create a positive experience for each student, offering a fun and safe learning environment.  Activities are offered to stimulate the body and the mind.  Students will have the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential, creatively, intellectually, physically and to demonstrate respect for themselves and for all individuals.  We practice positive reinforcement, clear boundaries, and immediate consequences and follow through.  Every child is an important part of our daycare group. 

Registration

You must register your child before September 30th to be able to receive the $7.00 per day program.  To be eligible for this program, your child must attend the daycare a minimum of 3 days per week. Registration will take place during Package Pick-up in August. (Date to be announced.) Children registered to the daycare after September 30th, may not be eligible to receive the $7.00 per day subsidy.  If you would like your child to attend the daycare on P.D. days, you will be required to fill out the registration form that will be sent to you 2 weeks before the date.
Children are grouped based on the grade they are in, allowing to plan age appropriate activities including:  arts & crafts, cooking, organized games ( in the gym or outdoors); board games, etc.
There is also a ½ hour designated for homework (Cycle 1.2 – 3.2) or quiet reading (K, Cycle 1.1).
